I grew up between Denmark, France, Spain and England, so I've always been surrounded by different cultures, architecture and ways of living. Working in fashion really deepened my appreciation for good craftsmanship and timeless design, but over time I found myself increasingly drawn to interiors and furniture. I started Galerie MLS as a way to share carefully sourced pieces with character, history and a sense of permanence.

I'm always looking for things that inspire me - not necessarily pieces to buy, but objects, places or moments that spark an idea. It could come from a film, my travels, or simply something I stumble across, and from there I keep my radar on. I spend a lot of time visiting dealers, auctions and private collections across Europe, and I'd always rather buy fewer pieces that I truly love than follow current trends. My inspiration comes from old Parisian apartments, Italian interiors from the 1930s to the 1970s, historic architecture, art and fashion. I love spaces that feel thoughtfully collected over time.

A crisp oversized shirt is probably the piece I wear most throughout summer. It's effortless and works just as well thrown over swimwear as it does styled for the city. This year has been especially hot, so I'm prioritising comfort and loose, breathable silhouettes. I tend to keep everything else simple with flip-flops, minimal jewellery and a timeless bag.

I always recommend wandering without too much of a plan. The Left Bank is perfect for discovering antique galleries and hidden streets, while the Palais Royal is one of my favourite places to walk. For museums, I never tire of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs and the Musée d’Orsay. I’m always drawn to bistros that feel inviting or have a certain charm, and I like discovering new places rather than returning to the same spots. Ending the day with a walk along the Seine is hard to beat.

I believe in buying fewer, better pieces that you'll wear for years. A beautifully made blazer, great denim, a good coat and knits are essentials. I'm also a big believer in investing in accessories that improve with age.

It's difficult to choose just one, but I'm especially drawn to pieces that quietly transform a room. Right now, one of my favourites is a lamp that I think balances function and art.
