TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF
I grew up in Scotland and studied for a Masters in Economics at the University of Edinburgh. After graduating, I moved to London to pursue a career in finance, but quickly realised it wasn’t quite for me. Since then, I’ve explored a few different roles in both consulting for large corporates and working with startups. Moving to London was definitely a tough adjustment at first. It felt pretty lonely, but over the first couple of years, I found my people and built a little home away from home. I still miss Scotland a lot, but I really love living in London now. I originally started creating content to boost my confidence at work and motivate myself to dress up, head into the office, and really be part of the city. It’s opened up so many opportunities for me, and I’m so glad I don’t just work from home anymore!
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE?
Messy chic is how I would describe it - I think I look put together to other people but my bag is chaos and I don’t always like ironing when I’m rushing around trying to get ready for work. I like a style that feels effortless and works for every day and every situation, but most importantly, something I feel comfortable and confident in.
DO YOU HAVE ANY STAPLE PIECES FOR THE OFFICE YOU ALWAYS REACH FOR?
I love midi skirts, v-neck jumpers, oversized blazers and coats, crisp white shirts, good fitting trousers - you can’t go wrong. I always use the same bag and wear the same jewellery too (shout out Sophie Whitelaw) which makes getting ready so simple.
TALK US THROUGH YOUR MORNING ROUTINE.
I start my morning by getting up, making a coffee, and planning my day. I like to spend around 40–50 minutes with my coffee and planner. After that, I head to Pilates at Reformer Collective, commute into the city, grab a Rosslyn coffee, and arrive at work with time to spare.
HOW DO YOU BALANCE WORKING A 9-5 AND SOCIAL MEDIA? DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS FOR TIME MANAGEMENT?
Planning out each day really helps me stay on top of things. I like to set clear priorities so the most urgent tasks get done first. That’s always key when there’s a lot going on! I use the TPM planner, which makes time-blocking super easy and keeps my day organised.
